What Can Change You?

For some people, a significant event has to occur to change their world around. It could be a death in the family, broken relationship, or a home foreclosure. All these events happen in life and it's not the end. I think that anyone who has been through a tragedy copes with them in their own way.
Change comes from your inner conscious telling you something needs to be altered in order to sustain a natural way of living. It takes a great deal of will power and strength to move on & remain stable. Some call it normal, but what is it really, even though it sounds easier said than done? A normal human being knows the alphabets, can drive, most of the time, knows the difference between the streets (not using drugs) and business world, can share ideas, stories, emotions, and communicate effectively in an appropriate manner.
#1 rule Enjoy life and all that it entails.
Take a leap of faith and volunteer if you think can make a difference in the world. Become a coach, to build up leadership skills. It will help you in the long run when you have those public speaking events. Make a list of achievable short-term or long-term goals to keep your mind going. I notice that when I write out a list of tasks, I tend to get them done, depending the task, in a timely manner. If you have kids and you want to go out to dinner alone with your wife or husband, call the nanny and head off. Plan to surprise him/her spontaneously with the dinner. They will definitely feel special. Make sure to handle the logistics in advance. It took me a while to catch on to this. The energy that you get from stepping outside feels good. I get butterflies just thinking about the next out of the box experience.

Should be the easiest thing. Thanks for your article.I understand completely. Change can be difficult sometimes. Several coworkers, including myself, were downsized due to lack of funding for a project in 2008, and I felt so depressed. When I got a new job, in a sense, it gave me a better understanding of what 'real' life can throw at you. I thought something like this could never happen to me, given my background, education, etc. Before the event, I was more blunt & close minded. Now I am more open minded, humble, and thankful for the things that I have accomplished during my lifetime.
