If you're into Microsoft PowerPoint graphs, whether it's 2003 or 2007, then so am I. You've come to the right article. I promise not to take up much of your time, but I wanted to give you a few tips on Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. It baffles me that so many people want to create better charts, but don't necessarily know all of the functions in 2007. Since these are beginner tips for charts & graphs, it is mandatory to know the basics on how to develop a chart.

These are only tips and not 100% tutorials.

Here goes:

Tip 1: There are differences when editing charts in 2003 and 2007. In 2003, right clicking on a chart would bring up different menu options than in 2007. With 2003, it deals with selecting data, so "select data" in 2003 has been replaced with "edit data" in 2007. This is important because it can save you milliseconds of time in editing data. It will ask you to convert' the information, if you're not already working in a 2007 version.

Tip 2: After selecting edit data', two screens will appear. The left side has the chart and the right side has the data. The right screen window has the data in Excel and can be closed without saving, unless there is an option to save. A shortcut is to make your changes in Excel, and click the x to close the window, but remember to save it on the chart(left) window. There are so many options to choose from in 2007.

Tip 3: If you're not already using 2007, once you save your information in the chart (PowerPoint) window you're done. The chart will be updated. If you're using another Microsoft version, a separate dialog box will appear and ask you to continue (compatible version).

I just realized the other day that I've never even opened up PowerPoint! I think it's a good idea to write an article like this and give a few tips which are more easily digestible, rather than inundate the reader - like I did!!

Yes, quick tips usually do the job, unless the reader has a specific problem that needs to be addressed. I am glad you liked it.
