The Millionaire Dream

I have been one not to dream and remember it all, but on this morning, I remembered everything. It came in glimpses right before my eyes in my own dream. Here's the scenario.

"Hun," Jack said looking over at his beautiful wife who was looking at the front door as if she was going to miss it. "I think it's a great idea to do what our neighbor did and take the offer. We will certainly have a better lifestyle than what we already have. I know that this is a difficult decision to make and since we have been here for about 4 years, I think that we are on our way to the top. I always had this feeling but just couldn't unleash it."

"But this is all so sudden and where will we go? Will we be able to find a new place so soon?" Tasha said as we were looking at each other. I had a hidden smile on my face, but was holding it for the right moment. I had to convince her that our house is worth giving up.

"Hun, they are offering us the same deal as the neighbor, but maybe we could negotiate a little more if need be, but I think the offer is well taken. For now, if we do sell, which I am hoping we do, we can live with a friend or at a hotel if we want to keep things under wraps. Once we find a new place we're out of here, or we could just move to a new place entirely."

"Okay, but shouldn't we wait just a little while longer to make a decision," she said with sincerity about leaving.

"Look, you heard the contractor. We have to make a decision within seven days, so that they can begin construction. I know that this is a good deal. If it weren't, trust me I wouldn't be this excited." He looked at Tasha's eyes and she was convinced but still had doubts that this was even possible. No one gets an offer like this out of the blue, at least not us.

"It's real, hun, so real. I cannot believe it myself. We are going to be rich." He was so amazed that he didn't know what else to do. He was pacing so fast on the front porch that it seemed as if it was floating. The townhouse that he lived in was not so bad. It was built in the 1980's, with an urbanized 80's look, which was well maintained. It needed some minor repairs but nothing they couldn't handle.

Their neighbor quickly accepted his deal and was on his way to another place not mentioned to them. He also owned the next townhouse over, which made it an even bigger deal. Two million dollars was a huge amount of money and who would pass that up. When we saw him, only for a moment, he was on his way out with his girlfriend, closing it for the last time. Were the offers were real?

7 days before.

Buefort Industries offered Jack and Tasha one million dollars to give up their home instantly because they wanted to build a theme park within the area. It was sectioned off and was the perfect location, the surveyors thought, as the work was beginning to unfold. At first, Jack was really uncomfortable with the idea, and like anyone else, he thought it was a scam, so he did some research. He checked with the Better Business Bureau first, browsed around their website for reviews, good or bad, and interviewed some same folks who received the deal who were local.

The stories were real, for the folks who accepted the offer. Now with the offer there were stipulations that had to be followed: you couldn't return the money or buy your house back with it; can't transfer the money to anyone other than your own bank account, which who would to do that anyway; the offer was confidential until the final paperwork was processed; and the last rule was once all paperwork was signed you're bound to not tell anyone besides the people who have already undergone these types of deals. Right, okay, so you can't tell anyone until all sales are final was the kicker for Jack, but he was determined to do some more digging. What he found out was that it was true and when sale was done, there was no turning back. You had to leave your home with all your belongings within 7 days, if you couldn't leave right away there was no waiver and $5,000 would be deducted for each day you went over the 7-day limit, which most folks didn't anyway.

Jack and Tasha almost threw the offer in the trash that came in the mail first, and then a contractor talked to them directly from Buefort Industries to plea bargain with them. This took several months of planning on the Buefort side of the house. It was so quick and so enticing that Jack almost flew out of his pants when he said "one million dollars." Jack and Tasha's minds were wondering, literally wondering, outside of the box and away from the conversation for about a good minute or two. The contractor kept calling their names and finally they snapped back.

This is a real dream that I had last night and just wanted to share it, although I used false names and a fake company to give it some meaning. This type of deal is like winning the lotto. It would be a miracle, if you asked me.

Yea I mostly, block out those dreams or just plain forget them knowing that they're not reality but just an imagination beyond belief. I shared this one because I (Jack) was feeling excited and extremely joyful in this one.
